To meet the printing and publication requirements of the Force, Central Printing Press of BSF was established in August 1972 under Govt of India Order dated 12 Feb 1971. Central Printing Press is a technical unit of its kind in the Force, where various restricted/non restricted documents of BSF as well as MHA are being printed in bulk.
The strength of the Force has increased more than two times and printed material demand of operational units has also increased in equal proportions, but the strength of support manpower of the Press could not increase proportionately. In order to fullfil the printing needs, now mordernisation of the technology is being planned.
